NSW Government Policy Update to Push Businesses Towards Information Security Processes

The NSW Government has established The NSW Cyber Security Policy, which replaces the NSW Digital Information Security Policy 2015 and is part of the action plan outlined in the 2018 NSW Cyber Security Strategy. This states that agencies working with the NSW Government must establish effective Cyber Security Policies and Procedures and embed cyber security into risk management practices and assurance processes. They are shutting all possible doors to agencies and businesses seeking to work with the Government if they haven’t already implemented a system with an ISO27001 benchmark.

Don’t hesitate to contact Risk and Compliance Consultants if you require any assistance or have any questions regarding ISO27001 and its applicability to your business.
